OM SYSTEM OM-3 Announced – Bringing Enhanced Video Capabilities
- OM SYSTEM has introduced the OM-3 with a retro SLR-style design. It features a 20 MP stacked BSI Live MOS MFT Sensor and 5-axis in-body image stabilization. The camera supports 4K filming at 60p internally and 8-bit DCI recording and 10-bit filming. It has 1053 AF points with AI Detection AF technology. The camera is designed to shoot 30 minutes at 104 °F without overheating and 77 °F indefinitely. The camera has a trio of features- OM Cinema 1, OM-Log, and OM Cinema 2 film stocks, Art profiles, and customizable profiles.
- OM SYSTEM previously rebranded as Olympus Imaging division and introduced the OM-1 along with the OM-1 Mark II micro-four-thirds mirrorless cameras.
- The features of the camera include a 3-inch, 1.62m-dot swivel touchscreen LCD, 1053-point cross-type image detection auto-focus, phase detect and contrast-detect AF and computational modes. It has a TruePic X Engine, ISO sensitivity range of 200 to 25,600 and a white balance preset, IP53 splash, and dust resistance.
- The OM SYSTEM OM-3 can record or film in DCI 4K internally up to 60p in 8-bit 4:2:0 and 10-bit 4:2:0. It supports OM-Log and the company released OM-Log400, which is a LUT file that can be graded in DaVinci Resolve. The price of the OM SYSTEM OM-3 is $1,999.99, and availability is open to premorder
