Not all tea is equal. At Newby we know how good tea can be. We want everyone to experience tea that tastes like it really should. For us, nothing is too much trouble to bring you the freshest-tasting cup possible. Of course, this all starts with the tea leaf. We select from only the very best first and second flush teas – the first shoots from the prime season of each harvest. As we blend and pack we handle the leaves with great care, keeping the temperature and humidity just right for each tea variety. But our dedication doesn’t end there. We know that the freshness, flavour and fragrance of tea can be lost over time and in transit. Exposure to heat, light and moisture means the taste can be degraded long before you boil the kettle. So we seal in the freshness by individually wrapping each teabag in our unique multi-layered foil sachets. Only then is our tea protected enough to make its way to your cup.
