New India Colour Company, part of the New India Group, specializes in surfactants. Founded in 1947, it has evolved from a trading house for textile dyes to a major manufacturer of LABSA 90. The company operates a state-of-the-art plant in Gummidipoondi, Chennai, which began full operations in March 2021. This facility is the largest single-location surfactant manufacturing unit in South India, with an installed capacity of 50,000mtpa.
The plant produces LABSA, SLES, SLS, and AOS in both paste and liquid forms. It is fully automated and ranks among the few global manufacturers capable of supplying SLES with under 10ppm 1,4 Dioxane. Its strategic location near Chennai Port enhances its capabilities for global exports.
