On a positive note, Minilec products are widely installed across various sectors, and as a result inquiries are generated automatically. However generating new buisness is still a very tough task due to the internal challanges faced by the company.
My experience with minilec has been quite disappointing. The working culture at the company is far from ideal. The reporting structure is unclear. and management seems disconnected from the ground reality, especially when it comes to staying updated on recent sales policies. There is a clear lack of communication and coordination between departments, which affects overall efficiency. One of the most significant issues is the production speed, which is considerably slow, causing delays in delivery. Furthermore, the company seems to be more focused on investing in other buisnesses rather than improving its own operations, which is a cause for concern. The product range, particularly the announciator, feels outdated and old fashioned compared to current market standards. Minilec's offerings are priced higher than other brands without providing any addiitional features or significant value to justify the cost. Another major downside is their tour and travel policies, which are still stuck in the 1980s. Out station visits and food arrangements are a major hassle, and the system for handling travel expenses is poorly manged. Tour advances are given in a very limited manner, and even small expenses like a 100 rupee bill will only get you a 50 rupee advance, with no settlement of previous expenses. This makes managing finances during work trips difficult. The Kolkata branch, in particular, has been the most frustrating experience for a salesperson. once an order is collected and entered into the system, there is no clear turnaround time ( TAT) for processing.
