- ICRA has raised its estimate for securitisation volume in FY25 by ₹30,000 crore to ₹2.4 lakh crore.
- Large private sector banks selling part of their loan portfolio through securitisation has driven the growth volumes.
- Securitisation volumes for the first nine months of FY25 were estimated at ₹1.8 lakh crore, a growth of ₹40,000 crore compared to the same period last year.
- Securitisation enables banks to improve their credit-to-deposit ratio and provides an alternate funding means for banks and NBFCs.

- The capacity utilization of steel companies in India is expected to hit a four-year low at 78%, according to ICRA.
- The proposed investment of $50 billion for additional capacity of 90-95 million tonne per annum may be delayed if the earnings of domestic steel mills do not improve.
