Likes

It is a WHO collaborating centre. Has connections with international research groups. Very closely linked Ministry of Health and Human Development— Government of India.

Work-life balance - Excellent

Dislikes

It is a Government— National organisation. Recruitment is heavily contested. I could do my PhD here, because of clearing CSIR-UGC exam (NET JRF/LS) in 2004. There are not alternative routes for entry, even after submitting project proposals to Principal Investigators in 2021/2.
