What I appreciated about the company was the opportunity to work with cutting edge tech during the early evolution phase of the in-house product, allowing for real engineering exploration. What I disliked about the company was the favoritism in assignment allocation, where interesting projects often went to the right connections or who made the most noise (even if the noise does not make any sense). The supposed spirit of collaboration was absent, with many focusing on self-promotion rather than developing ideas. Performance reviews were flawed, heavily influenced by managerial opinions, regardless of their understanding of key architectural decisions, and there were no opportunities for skip-level manager meetings.
