Role Summary:
The individual will be part of the Retention Marketing Team and will play a crucial role in the full-scale launch of an upcoming game. The game demonstrated strong success during its pilot phase, and the individual's contributions will be vital in shaping the game's growth and long-term success.
The individual will be responsible for driving improvements in key areas such as:
- Player Retention
- Average revenue per player (ARPU)
- User Engagement
- Communications & Promotions
- User Experience
- Product journeys & features
- The Retention team's role is to maximize the lifetime value from cash players by reducing attrition and increasing monetization from these players.
- The role will include design and execution of marketing campaigns to existing players, contribution to product strategy through conceptualizing optimum customer funnel flow, envisaging innovative product features addressing reactivation, retention, monetization and solving for key pain points of players.
- Data is at the core of our business. A Senior Marketing Manager performs rigorous data analysis to take day to day decisions at all stages of the player life cycle. You will also work closely with the Analytics team to build an understanding of the player behavior from all aspects, which would then be used to come up with innovative and data-backed campaigns.
- You will manage end-to-end campaigns including calendar & revenue planning, budget planning, user cohort's segmentation & targeting, experiments etc. You will work alongside Brand and Design teams for campaign creatives.
Key responsibilities:
Launch Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for the game's launch and growing player engagement.
- Analyze competitor games and industry trends to ensure the game's unique value propositions stand out and any impactful campaigns or features are captured.
- Drive iterative processes based on early user feedback, adjusting marketing and communication strategies to cater to player expectations and behavior during the crucial early phases.
- Optimize the game's product journeys and features, working with the product team to evolve the player experience as the user base grows from zero.
Player Retention & Engagement:
- Analyze player behavior data to develop retention strategies based on segments and personalization to boost retention.
Monetization & Revenue Growth (ARPU):
- Maximize average revenue per player (ARPU) through personalized offers / discounts, in-app promotions and new revenue features without diminishing user experience.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Customer Support team to ensure that any feedback during the launch phase is communicated to improve the player experience.
- Work with the Product team to provide insights from the marketing campaigns to improve gameplay, user experience, and feature design.
- Work closely with the Brand team on the promotional campaign creatives and communication.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Track key performance metrics like lifetime value (LTV), ARPU, churn rates, and retention.
- Report on campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights to improve future campaigns and overall player experience.
Key requirements:
- 4-6 years of post-MBA experience in revenue management/retention marketing/category growth functions
- Degree in Management from a premier institute (IIMs/ISB/MDI/FMS etc.)
- Experience in owning end-to-end marketing campaigns with decision-making capabilities
- Demonstrable ability to innovate and think out of the box
- Ability to work with data to convert into actionable insights, and understand user behavior
- Should be obsessed with enhancing customer experience
- High attention to detail with the ability to drive multiple projects parallelly
- Experience in real money gaming industry is preferable
