Engineering Manager (9-13 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Responsible for designing and developing features that power the company data management platform to manage billions of files and petabytes of data.

- Responsible for designing and owning major components and systems of our product architecture, ensuring that the company data management platform is highly available and scalable.

- Work in an agile, customer-focused, and fast-paced team with direct interaction with the customers.

- Working with Product, Testing, and Customer teams to understand customer requirements and use cases, ensure proper testing of functional areas deliver a high-quality product, and take feedback from customers to improve the product.

- Responsible for analyzing customer-escalated issues and providing resolutions promptly.

- Ensuring timely delivery of features and projects with high quality.

- Project and people management of team(s) within the BE organization.

- Performance evaluation and assessment of subordinates.

Requirements :

- 8+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years as a team lead or 1 year as an engineering manager.

- Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals especially data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading.

- Ability to solve difficult problems with a simple elegant solution.

- Should have a solid object-oriented programming background in Java with impeccable design skills.

- Experience with object-based file systems and REST interfaces is a plus (e. g. Amazon S3 Azure, Google Cloud Service).

- Experience with distributed systems, clustering, and scaling is a plus.

- Ability to manage and execution of projects by leading a team of engineers.

- Understanding and inculcating the cultural values of our organization.

Tech Stack :

- We use the latest tools and languages.

- Most of the work is done in Java.

- We use Maven, Virtualisation, SaaS, Github, Jira, Slack, etc.

- Our solution runs in the cloud and on hypervisors.
