Position Overview:

Zynga is looking for an Art Generalist with a deep passion for games, great art skills, and an equally great body of work, to join our talented team on the Farmville games. Graphic Designers, Illustrators and Creative Generalists who ve always wanted to work in the gaming industry are also encouraged to apply.

Once selected, this role will require you to work alongside the Art and Marketing teams, and be responsible for creating exciting and engaging visuals and short videos, among others, in the art style, and towards the marketing and business goals, of the Farmville games. This may include any or all phases of graphic design and art production including conceptual design/development, typography, storyboards for marketing videos, high fidelity art, etc.

The Art Generalist will work closely with the Art Director to establish, and maintain, the visual integrity, brand standards, and consistency for all visuals for the games.

What You ll Do:

• Work closely with the Art Director, along with the Marketing Team, and create visuals that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, while exhibiting a deep and comprehensive understanding of art and design principles.
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements, prepare rough drafts and present ideas when required.
• Exhibit added initiative by bringing in fresh ideas, and autonomously analyzing and creating solutions to the design problems by providing multiple usable options as necessary.
• Maintain the high quality of the art, efficiency, and consistency across your executions.
• To actively participate in the learning, creativity and art-driven culture at Zynga.

What You Bring:

• Formal training in art in the form of a Bachelor s or Diploma in Art, Design or other related streams.
• 6-10 years experience in creating visuals using Adobe Creative Suite. Mandatory tools include -
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • AfterEffects
  • Additional tools, in and out of the Adobe Creative Suite, are added pluses.
• High proficiency in digital art and illustration, graphic design and typography.
• An interest in, and understanding of, pop-culture in art, film and gaming.
• Proficiency in creating high quality motion graphics videos will be considered an added plus as well.
