Role & responsibilities

• The candidate should have completed M.Sc. Microbiology, or M. Pharmacy in Pharmacology & Toxicology or any Veterinary degree (B.V. Sc / M. V. Sc.) with minimum 8 years of experience in Human vaccines for laboratory animal experimentation and management of laboratory animals like mice, Guinea pigs & Rabbits.
• The job role requires to plan and execute the testing of In- process antigens and finished product of Tetanus, Diphtheria, other Bacterial and Viral vaccines. This includes In-vivo Potency assays such as antibody induction/ challenge assays, Immunogenicity Testing, Safety Testing such as Abnormal toxicity, Irreversibility, Specific Toxicity, Extraneous agents in virus seed & cell bank etc. The candidate should be familiar with standardization of toxins for Tetanus and Diphtheria and raising Hyper Immune Sera in lab animals.
• Requires skill in laboratory animal handling techniques, oversee good husbandry practices, support in the animal related procedures, sample collection, inoculation methods, animal segregation, euthanasia techniques, computation of animal experiment results and care of laboratory animals.
• To procure all lab animals, animal house related consumables and upkeep of all equipments as per GLP, Qualification requirements, Lab compliance and GMP documentation.
