Desktop Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, diagnosis and resolution of technical issues related to Microsoft products viz. Microsoft client operating systems (Windows7/ Windows8, Windows10), Email (Outlook), File & MS office, and various business applications etc.
• Installation, configuration, diagnosis and resolution of technical issues related to all technology peripherals viz. desktops, thin clients, laptop, printers and scanners etc.
• Migration and Deployment of Desktops and laptops build as per company standards.
• Communicating with overseas customers and solving their desktop related problems by using remote tools like Skype for Business, Web Ex etc.
• Supporting desktop maintenance, security maintenance, including virus updates and patch management
• Interacting technical people at a variety of levels as well as ability to address technical issues with non-technical associates.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, MCA/BCA, Msc-IT
• Nice to have 2-5 of Experience in troubleshooting operating systems, hardware & software
• Decent communication skills
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts
• Experience in Office 365 (MANDATORY)
• Good logical ability & time management skills
• Smart approach towards incident management (MANDATORY)
• The ability to communicate with overseas customers and problem-solving ability by using remote tools like Microsoft Teams, Web Ex etc
• Ability to multi task
