Key Responsibilities Instrumentation Design
• Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and data sheets for instrumentation systems.
• Design control systems, field instrumentation, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for chemical and fertilizer plants.
• Selection of instrumentation devices such as transmitters, control valves, flow meters, and analyzers based on process requirements.
• Preparation of P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and loop diagrams. Technical Documentation
• Create and manage specifications for cables, junction boxes, and instrument panels. • Develop instrument hookup drawings and installation details.
• Prepare control system architectures, wiring diagrams, and interconnection details. Project Execution
• Support procurement activities by providing technical evaluations of vendor offers.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and contractors for technical clarifications.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for instrumentation systems. Compliance and Standards
• Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, API) and client-specific requirements.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with process, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams for seamless integration of instrumentation systems.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up phases. Qualifications and Skills Educational Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. • Master’s degree is a plus. Technical Skills
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Smart Plant Instrumentation, or similar tools)
• In-depth knowledge of control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA) and field instruments.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (IEC, ISA, API). Experience
• 8-12 years of experience in instrumentation engineering and design, preferably in the chemical and fertilizer industry.
. • Hands-on experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
