Snowflake Data Engineer - ETL/SQL (7-15 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a Snowflake SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake-based data solutions.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.

- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Stored Procedures).

- Implement best practices for data warehousing, including partitioning, clustering, and indexing.

- Work with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Avro, Parquet) in Snowflake.

- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to define data models and schemas.

- Ensure data security and governance using Snowflake RBAC (Role-Based Access Control).

- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Snowflake.

- Integrate Snowflake with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).

- Stay up-to-date with Snowflake features and enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in SQL development and data engineering.

- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and its core features (Virtual Warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Stored Procedures, Cloning, Time Travel).

- Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (DBT, Fivetran, Airflow, Matillion, Informatica, Talend, etc.).

- Knowledge of data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) and best practices.

- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing (optional but preferred).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with data governance, access control, and security in Snowflake.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Snowflake SnowPro Certification.

- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).

- Knowledge of CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
