Back End Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience in building and maintaining scalable backend applications using Node.js, Express, MongoDB. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of RESTful APIs, database management, and server-side architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Work with MongoDB ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code following best practices.
• Handle authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, or session-based authentication.
• Implement caching strategies for performance optimization.
• Ensure application security by implementing data protection and OWASP best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to maintain system stability and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in backend technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js and Express.js.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Understanding of database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in API development, including versioning, documentation (Swagger), and security.
• Experience with authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth, Role-based access control).
• Familiarity with message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka (nice to have).
• Knowledge of Docker & containerization is a plus.
• Experience with Unit testing (Jest, Mocha, Chai) is a plus.
• Understanding of Microservices architecture and serverless computing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Git and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.

Good to Have:

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Redis for caching.
• Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure services like Lambda, S3, or DynamoDB.
• Experience with WebSockets for real-time applications.
