Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS infrastructure.
• Automate cloud infrastructure using AWS tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Build and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support development and production environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement solutions that optimize application performance and scalability.
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure for uptime, performance, and security.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for repeatable, reliable deployment processes.
• Provide expertise on cloud-native technologies, AWS services, and best practices for security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot issues in cloud-based applications and provide timely resolutions.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical leadership and expertise.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for system monitoring, alerting, and reporting.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices related to AWS and DevOps.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, etc.).
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or CloudFormation).
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or equivalent certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda).
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud infrastructure.

Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
