Tracking conformance to functional safety policy and processes
Confirming review of functional safety work products (depending on the required ASIL) if planned or required
Performing safety assessments
Reporting of the safety case status
Communicating and prioritizing safety case-related issues
Auditing safety case performance
Providing safety audit report
Performing safety audits, including tracking corrective actions based on preview safety audits.
Providing training to ZF employees on functional safety including SOTIF
The safety assessor is an independent role. The degree of independence of the safety assessor is based on the safety integrity of the safety-related system (ASIL/SIL).
Required skills and experience / main competencies.
Safety Assessor shall be a Senior Technical Specialist for Systems Safety
> 5 years of functional safety experience.
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Competent in the domain and technology of assessment
Expertise in ISO 26262 and Safety methods / analyses;
Expertise in SOTIF
