Calibration Engineer (Application engineer)

ZF Group is hiring for Application Engineer (Calibration) for Commercial Vehicles and Control Systems.

Job Location: Chennai / Pune/ Jamshedpur

Experience: 2 to 12 years

Education: Diploma (7+years experience)/ BE/B.Tech/ PG

Skills: Automotive, Calibration, Driveline, E-mobility.

PROFILE:

• Experience in Product Engineering (Function development & vehicle / system calibration) in automotive industry.
• Good knowledge about vehicles, sub systems & operating environment
• Good experience in diagnostics (KWP/UDS/OBD), communication protocol (SAE J1939), instrumentation & Data acquisition systems (Vector)
• Capable of driving CV segments (CV license + qualified test driver)
• Fluent in English.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for Driveline system calibration, which includes sensors and actuators operated electro-pneumatically for various types of gearboxes and Axles.
• Collect technical requirements and specifications from customer and map the same with requirements and highlighting the deviations.
• Provide proposals for products matching the requirements from the customer.
• Create Change request and deviations including break down of customer requirements.
• Select / calculate product layout for customer application.
• Consolidate / prepare application documentation.
• System / Application validation and release
• Check component installation / environment, run installation procedure & check system functionality.
• Adapt / parameterize system to meet customer / regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards to homologate the commercial vehicles.
• Homologate / support customer in homologation activities according to the regulatory requirements.
• Support / respond to technical queries from customer.
• Support other internal function groups (Key account teams) on technical queries.
• Knowledge on Communication and Diagnostic protocols.
