QA / QC Engineer

Position: QA/QC Engineer
Department: Quality Assurance & Control
Location: Vadodara, occasional travel involved.
Reports To: Quality Manager 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Read and Understand Engineering Drawings
2. Understand QAPs
3. Carry out stage and final inspections as per approved QAP

Detailed Profile:

• Quality Assurance:

1. Develop and implement quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards for projects in alignment with organizational and client requirements.
2. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant quality certifications.
3. Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems.

• Quality Control:

1. Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
2. Perform inspections and testing at various stages of Manufacturing and construction.
3. Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective and preventive actions.

• Documentation and Reporting:

1. Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC documentation, including inspection test plans (ITPs) / QAPs, quality manuals, and checklists.
2. Generate and present quality reports to the management and clients, highlighting key observations and recommendations.

• Collaboration with Stakeholders:

1. Work closely with design, engineering, and Suppliers to ensure quality standards are integrated into all project phases.
2. Liaise with Project Management, contractors, and suppliers to address quality concerns and maintain clear communication.

• Vendor and Material Quality:

1. Inspect and approve materials and equipment supplied by vendors to ensure they meet project specifications.
2. Evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on quality standards.
3. Knowledge of inspecting rotary equipment, Static equipment, pipe & fittings is required.
4. Should have experience in NDTs and LPT & RT in particular.

• Continuous Improvement:

1. Identify opportunities for improving quality processes and implement enhancements to achieve greater efficiency and reliability.
2. Monitor project feedback to refine quality standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Mechanical.
• Experience:

1. 3 to 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the Fabrication industry, especially lower thickness 5mm to  6mm etc.
2. Proven track record in handling quality management systems and procedures.

• Certifications:

1. ISO 9001:2015 certification (preferred).
2. Additional certifications like ASNT Level II in LPT & RT

• Skills:

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
2. Proficient in QA/QC tools and software.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Should be able to communicate in English
