EMS and OSS Developer

Job Responsibilities

• EMS Development: Design, develop, and maintain Element Management Systems (EMS) for network devices, ensuring proper monitoring, fault management, and configuration management.
• OSS Development: Develop and enhance Operations Support Systems (OSS) to streamline and automate network operations, focusing on performance monitoring, fault detection, and service assurance.
• Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate EMS/OSS solutions with various network elements, monitoring tools, and external systems.
• Customization: Provide customized solutions for clients by adapting EMS/OSS platforms to meet specific operational requirements and business needs.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate operational reports and provide detailed analysis of network performance, issues, and usage trends.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to EMS/OSS platforms, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Documentation: Write clear technical documentation, user manuals, and standard operating procedures for EMS/OSS solutions.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, network engineers, and other development teams to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest developments in EMS/OSS technologies, trends, and best practices to implement new features and improve existing systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in EMS/OSS development or related network management roles.
• Strong experience with telecom protocols (e.g., SNMP, NETCONF, REST API, SOAP).
• Hands-on experience in developing applications using languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Familiarity with network management tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of network management standards such as TMN (Telecommunications Management Network), ITIL, or FCAPS.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in database management (SQL/NoSQL), and experience with data modelling and data integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with network devices, including routers, switches, and base stations.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix-based environments.
• Strong understanding of network management protocols, IT systems architecture, and network security.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, agile team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in network management systems (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
• Experience in automation and scripting tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
