Supply Chain Manager - Charging

An unprecedented energy transition has begun. To meet 2040 net zero goals, over 2 billion electric two-wheelers (motorcycles) must be sold and $11 trillion in fuel consumption replaced. Zeno is building a tech platform to electrify this two-wheeler market, currently responsible for more than 4% of the worlds GHG emission. Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition and democratize the benefits across Africa, India, and Latin America. With a focus on East Africa as a starting point, Zeno is building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle and associated battery swap network to drive a better experience for our customers.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Supply Chain Manager based in India to support the sourcing and procurement activities for our charging infrastructure and battery swapping network. This role will involve working with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality components necessary for building our robust network of battery swap stations, public fast chargers, and home chargers. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, highly motivated, and excited about contributing to Zenos mission in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of components for electric vehicle charging stations and battery swapping systems, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to identify, assess, and onboard suppliers primarily located in India.
• Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers to ensure alignment with Zeno’s quality, cost, and reliability standards.
• Act as the liaison between the engineering team and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and resolving any challenges that arise.
• Manage the timely delivery of components, ensuring they meet both technical specifications and budgetary constraints.
• Stay informed about market trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to electric vehicle infrastructure to refine and improve our sourcing strategy.

What You Bring:

• 4-8 years of experience in supply chain management or procurement, preferably in the industrial systems, electric vehicle infrastructure, or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of the Indian supply chain landscape, including taxes, tariffs, and GST regulations.
• Willingness to travel within India to meet suppliers and attend relevant industry events.
• Good communication and negotiation skills, especially in working with local suppliers to manage costs and lead times.
• Problem-solving mindset, able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Experience in sourcing components for energy infrastructure, electric vehicle systems, or industrial projects.
