Commissioning Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Commissioning Engineers are primarily responsible for overseeing the installation of equipment's and systems, conducting tests to ensure operational efficiency, and resolving any issues that arise during the setup processes. Their role is pivotal in validating the integrity and performance of systems till the system handed over to the client. Key responsibilities include:

1. Planning, managing, and executing the commissioning of various systems. Multi purpose distillation, evaporators and dryers.

2. Performing tests and inspections to ensure systems meet design specifications and optimization.

3. Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment performances and system malfunctions.

4. Ensuring all safety, quality, and operational procedures are followed during the commissioning phase.

5. Providing training and support to maintenance and operational teams on provided systems to the client.

6. Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

7. Flexible to travel PAN India and abroad.

Preferred candidate profile

Technical competency

1. Reviewing and understanding project specifications and drawings.

2. Coordinating with project managers and other engineers in order to outline the scope and to achieve the timelines of the project.

3. Recording, analyzing, and interpreting trial data.

4. Identifying and documenting any deviations from the planned outcomes.

5. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards. As per scope agreed.

6. Provide technical support to teams and customer.

7. Preparation and checking of process specification sheet like pump data sheet, heat and mass balance, line sizing, pressure drop calculation and other basic engineer activities.

8. Preparation and checking of instrument datasheets.

9. Preparation/review of process flow diagram (PFD) & Piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID).

10. Pre-commissioning activities like water trials, interlocks checking etc., and qualification documentation.

11. Commissioning of systems and prepare Handover report.

12. Preparation / Review of standard operating procedure for plant/system operation.

13. Able to handle various type of distillation system, evaporators , scrubbing systems.

14. Should have good communication skills.
