Position Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced engineering with 8 to 15 years of experience in the fields of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Materials Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, testing, and inspection of materials and equipment, specifically for static equipment in industries such as oil & gas, combustion, and manufacturing. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of international standards, inspection techniques, and quality management processes, and possess excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management : Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API, TEMA, and others).
Project Coordination : Work closely with clients, PMC s (Project Management Consultants), and other stakeholders to coordinate inspections, documentation, and project deliverables. Ensure that all project quality aspects are completed on time.
Inspection & Testing : Oversee inspection activities for manufacturing, testing, and delivery of materials and equipment, including heat exchangers, vessels, columns, valves, and other critical components.
Certification & Compliance : Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications. Take the lead in ISO certifications, audits, and external assessments, such as ASME welding and inspection audits.
Material Specifications & Documentation : Review and prepare technical specifications for materials, including raw material selection, alternate grades, and ensuring proper documentation for quality control and inspection procedures.
Failure Analysis & Corrective Actions : Conduct failure analysis and initiate corrective actions based on root cause analysis, with a focus on improving product quality and reducing rejections.
Vendor Management : Manage relationships with suppliers, including conducting performance assessments and overseeing quality checks to ensure on-time delivery of quality materials.
Reports & MIS : Prepare and present regular reports to management regarding the progress of projects and quality metrics, highlighting any issues or concerns related to quality.
Inspection Equipment & NDE Methods : Utilize and oversee the use of advanced inspection tools and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods, such as UT, PT, MPT, RT, and others.
Skills and Expertise:
Strong knowledge of materials testing, inspection, and quality control techniques for equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves etc.
Expertise in international standards, including ASME, API, ASTM, TEMA, SAIPEM, and others.
Proficient in preparing and reviewing QAPs, ITPs, NDE procedures, and quality control documentation.
Extensive experience in vendor management, including vendor assessments, performance evaluations, and supplier development.
Hands-on experience with various testing and inspection tools such as UT Flaw Detectors, Hardness Testers, Alloy Analyzers, and others.
Knowledge of metallurgical and mechanical testing, including microstructure analysis, corrosion testing, and failure analysis.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams, clients, and vendors at all levels.

Certifications : ASNT Level II certification in UT, PT, MPT, and RT methods. Additional certifications in quality management or relevant inspection methods are a plus.
Education : B.Tech in Mechanical Engineer (preferable).
Relocation: Willing to relocate to the vicinity of the manufacturing unit.
