Database Administrator

We're seeking a Database Administrator with 5-8 years of expertise in SQL Server development and SSIS. This hybrid role blends database administration with programming responsibilities, providing opportunities to design, optimize, and maintain robust database systems while delivering seamless data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing database performance, developing complex T-SQL queries, and building scalable ETL workflows using SSIS. Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
• Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve database-related performance problems.
• Implement database updates, patches, and version upgrades.
• Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and scripts.
• Optimize existing SQL code for performance improvements.
• Design and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and constraints.
• Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions with applications.
• Design, develop, and deploy robust ETL workflows using SSIS to extract, transform, and load data.
• Optimize SSIS packages for data integration and performance efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and debug SSIS workflows and data processing pipelines.
• Maintain documentation for SSIS packages, ETL processes, and workflows. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required). Master's degree (preferred).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, MCSE) are a plus (not required).
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database administration and development.
• Proficient in SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS development.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with data modeling and schema design.
• Familiarity with database security practices and user access controls.
• Knowledge of other tools such as PowerShell or any scripting language for automation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
