Job description
Our client is a market leader in Software-defined Storage, Data Protection, and Archiving. You will work as a member of the core platform that provides a highly available and scalable solution which utilizes the Data Protection Appliance to deliver enterprise wide data backup and recovery services on-demand.
You will work closely with developers and QA Management to understand how Solutions will be implemented as per Client Business needs. You will Work as an individual contributor as well as team and certify product and its components. Develop test automation plans, test scripts, perform automation testing. Create test data, prepare test reports, and maintain test environment with Package Deployment and Release. Planning and performing software testing of various systems or software features, in scheduled timeline, achieving clear testing results.

Role and Responsibilities –

• Looking for 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Automation Testing
• Individual must have the ability to work as a part of an Agile team with the flexibility to work with shifting requirements.
• Good QA knowledge and Automation skills in Python.
• Should have knowledge of Robot framework and Perl.
• Be a part of Feature Team right from the feature design and implementation phases
• Design test approach, put in a test strategy/ methodology for functional feature end-to-end testing
• Write detailed test plans, test cases. Contribute to Automation framework development as needed. Automate new feature test cases
• Collaborate with Feature Team members and remote teams to ensure delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
• Contributing to organizational activities such as recruitment drives, campus hiring, training, grooming junior staff, representing Xoriant in industry forums etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You should have experience in the key matrix and performance areas given below:
Key Skills –
Technical Skills:

• Experience in Automation testing using Python
• Hands on experience in Python, Robot framework
• Hands on experience in Perl
• Hands on experience in API Automation.
• Knowledge of Data Protection / Storage domain is a must.
• Administrative Knowledge of any one application like VMWare, Oracle, MS-SQL, Exchange is a must
• Good understanding of Software development and QA lifecycle and Agile methodology
• Hands on experience on Unix / Linux environment
• Experience working on Docker, Kubernetes, Containers technologies
• Well versed with source control tools like GIT/SVN.
• Knowledge of Tools like Jenkins, ansible etc will be preferred.
• Degree in computer engineering or related discipline

Personal Skills and Qualification–

• Bachelors/master’s in computer science, or other relevant degree
• Ability to plan development activities meticulously, identifying dependencies and proactively work towards resolution.
• Good communication skills to crisply and accurately report program status.
• Self-starter, self-motivated.
• Capable of taking responsibility for tasks and ensuring a successful outcome.
• Able to contribute to the work of a team while being motivated to work day to day on individual tasks.
• Independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives
• Independently determines methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
