Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Windows & VMware Administrator to manage and support enterprise virtualization and server environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Windows Server and VMware as primary skills, along with a strong working knowledge of Nutanix and Hyper-V as secondary competencies. The role requires expertise in managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting virtualized environments while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the systems.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Windows Administration
• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Handle Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPO), and DNS/DHCP configurations.
• Perform server patching, security hardening, and system performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS, roles, and applications.
2. VMware Administration
• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
• Manage virtual machine templates, snapshots, and cloning operations.
• Implement and maintain VMware HA/DRS clusters and distributed switches.
• Troubleshoot VMware-related issues, including resource allocation and storage integration.

Secondary Responsibilities:

1. Nutanix Administration
• Support and manage Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and scalability.
• Assist with migrations and capacity planning for Nutanix platforms.
2. Hyper-V Administration
• Install, configure, and manage Hyper-V environments.
• Handle virtual machine lifecycle management, replication, and live migration.
• Integrate Hyper-V systems with backup solutions and disaster recovery setups.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform storage integration and manage SAN/NAS connectivity with virtualized platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems, configurations, and processes.
• Plan and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual and physical servers.
• Monitor system security, conduct regular audits, and implement compliance measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
• Perform capacity planning and recommend upgrades or enhancements for system optimization.

Key Skills and Competencies

Mandatory Skills:

• Expertise in Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022).
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN).
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory (AD), GPO, and PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with storage technologies and their integration with virtual platforms.

Desirable Skills:

• Working experience with Nutanix AHV and its ecosystem.
• Proficiency in managing Hyper-V environments, including replication and clustering.
• Understanding of cloud integration with virtualization platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Networking knowledge, including VLANs, firewalls, and load balancing.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Windows and VMware administration.
• 2+ years of experience with Nutanix and/or Hyper-V.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate are preferred.
