JavaFX Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain JavaFX-based applications.
• Implement user interfaces and ensure the applications high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop rich, interactive user interfaces with JavaFX controls, CSS styling, and FXML.
• Integrate with backend services using RESTful APIs or other communication protocols.
• Work closely with the UX/UI teams to ensure seamless integration of the front end and back end.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java and JavaFX.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to user interfaces and JavaFX frameworks.
• Ensure application stability and scalability in various environments.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure that the application meets quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest JavaFX and Java technologies and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java development with a strong focus on JavaFX.
• Strong knowledge of JavaFX, Java 8+ features, FXML, and Scene Builder.
• Familiarity with JavaFX application deployment (JAR files, native packaging, etc.).
• Experience with building responsive, high-performance UI applications.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Familiarity with Java build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Experience integrating JavaFX applications with databases and backend services.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with JavaFX 2D/3D graphics.
• Experience with other frontend technologies like HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or Angular.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
