Senior Fullstack Developer

Role

Working as part of a Scrum Team, this is a challenging but exciting opportunity for a senior developer to play an important part in developing key microservice based applications that are consumed by other product teams.

The candidate must have a good level of experience of working with and overseeing the development of complex, multi-tenanted, scalable applications/microservices in an Azure environment. Solid design and architecture experience is essential.

The candidate will work closely with a technical lead to ensure applications that are developed are of a high standard and fit for purpose.

Responsibilities

• Assist the technical lead in driving solutions to complex problems
• Build new and enhance existing microservices utilizing Azure PaaS services
• Improve and enhance DevSecOps processes (including infrastructure as code) resulting in robust CI/CD workflows
• Play a key role in all Agile (Scrum) ceremonies with particular input into backlog refinement and estimations
• Look for ways to help others, whether this be through mentoring, pair programming or other approach to knowledge sharing

Skills & Experience

• Proficient with the Microsoft .NET platform and development environment including C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, ORMs and Visual Studio with at least 8 years of experience
• A good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design
• Commercial experience of working on enterprise-level applications
• A proven track record overseeing the development of large/complex projects
• Experience of relational database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Experience of Frontend JavaScript libraries including React
• Experience of Azure, PaaS services and cloud-based applications
• Strong interpersonal skills, working with internal technical staff and stakeholders
• Practical experience of analysing requirements
• Ability to quickly learn new technical skills
• Coaching and mentoring

Desirable

• Experience of Agile & Scrum
• Experience defining, implementing or supporting software in financial services industry preferred
• Experience of Domain Driven Design (DDD)
