CAD Technician - Piping

Are you a CAD expert with a passion for piping design? We are currently seeking a skilled CAD Technician - Piping to join our team and assist in the creation of detailed piping designs for various projects.

As a CAD Technician - Piping, you will be responsible for utilizing CAD software to create and modify piping designs based on project specifications. This will include collaborating with engineers and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient designs that meet industry standards and client requirements.

• Proficient in executing work independently using intelligent 3D CAD system like Cadworx, Plant 3D, Autoplant 3D / Open Plant Modeller.
• Work with Lead & group of Piping Designers to develop concepts / conceptual studies, Equipment Layouts / piping layouts effectively to meet project requirements.
• Modelling Equipments & Pipe routings in accordance with P&ID’s, equipment data sheet / Vendor data sheets independently.
• Extraction / Preparation of Equipment layout drawings, Piping General Arrangement, Pipe Support General Arrangements, Safety layouts.
• Guiding a group of piping designers on 3D modelling / Piping modelling to meet client requirements.
• Extraction & annotation of Piping Isometrics.
• Co-ordinate with inter disciplines in timely manner to avoid rework for finalizing the piping design.
• Prepare Piping MTO’s.
• Should be an active team player.
• Plan & deliver assigned tasks accurately within the agreed time line.
• Prioritize activities and effectively manage conflicting deadlines ensuring continued progress to mee the schedule. Proactively provide Lead with status updates.
• Excellent knowledge in ASME codes & standards.
• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
• Performs engineering tasks, within a discipline, having some degree of complexity.
• Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort.
• Coordinates to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
• Reviews or defines engineering scope changes, as required, for project management.
• Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Education Qualification:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years to 10 years of technical experience required.
• Design experience with clients from USA, Canada will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills required.
