Draughtsman - Ash Handling Plant(Piping).

Responsibilities:

1. Piping Design: Create detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, and cross country piping layouts for ash handling systems in compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
2. Component Selection: Assist in the selection of appropriate piping materials, valves, fittings, and other components based on project requirements and operational conditions.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to project timelines.
4. Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documents, including bills of materials (BOMs), fabrication drawings, and specifications for piping components.
5. Quality Assurance: Support quality control efforts by reviewing drawings and designs to ensure they meet regulatory standards, company guidelines, and client expectations.
6. Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) proficiently to create 2D and 3D models, and to generate accurate technical drawings.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in piping design and mechanical drafting.

Qualifications and experience:

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience ( 8to10 years) as a Mechanical Draughtsman, preferably in the design of ash handling systems or similar heavy industrial plants like water treatment plants, FGD plants.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with piping design standards (ASME, ASTM, IS).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of material handling systems, particularly ash handling plants, will be an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Manage documentation for drawings/documents submission, maintain records
• Experience in WRENCH software is preferred but not mandatory
