Piping Design Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design piping layouts for various projects using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Navisworks.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications for piping systems, including equipment layout and structural design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for piping materials and labor costs estimation.
• Conduct quality control checks on designed documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Able to prepare plot plans, piping layouts & equipment layouts.
• Extraction of piping drawings, isometrics and MTO from 3D models.
• Design of piping, routing, design of primary and secondary supports, finalization of design and by coordinating with Structural designers.
• Drive the model reviews with project team.
• Prepare of Process flow diagram and create intelligent P & ID.
• Generation BOQ for Piping & Pipe routing.
• Preparation of Assignment Drawing with load data for civil and structural engineering.
• Preparation of Piping General Arrangement Drawing.
• Preparation of Isometric drawings from 3D model
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5-8 years of experience in Piping Design Engineering or related field.
  
• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical or equivalent qualification.
  
• Proficiency in creating isometric drawings, pipe routing, piping isometrics, MTOs (Material Take Off), structural design, and 3D modeling.
