Job Description
Mandatory Skills (Include technical or domain certifications/trainings as req.)
- Good working knowledge of TEKLA with latest versions, able to use all standard functions on the software without requiring support from seniors and coach junior staff in its use
- Should have a good experience in Structural Steel Tekla structures modelling and specifications/ Bar bending schedules.
- Experience of Steel detailing in Building structures, Industrial structures etc.,
- Develop and model building elements using Structural drawings/ PDFs or hand drafts in Tekla software.
- Knowledge of working in Tekla Structural Steel environment inclusive of Composite construction with Cast in situ working models.
- Knowledge of both Structural and Architecture outlook disciplines
- Experience of working on a number of projects across different sectors
- Experience of working on projects of various sizes, independently and as part of a project team
- Good understanding of working for international offices and standards
- Good knowledge of industry standards and international codes
Core Functions
- Understand scope of work and delivery schedule from Senior Leads
- Input to the co-ordination of engineering services on projects
- Develop drawings from inputs received from Lead country. Make drawings and details into co-ordinated building details by set manuals.
- Prepare sketches / RFIs etc. as necessary for seeking clarification from engineers in the Lead country.
- Prepare / amend models and / or drawings to specified WSP in lead country Tekla/ BIM standards
- Suggest revisions to standards / templates / custom settings as appropriate
- Use templates for Tekla work and use Tekla library items to assist design work
- Provide advice and coaching to technicians on intermediate Tekla functions when requested
- Follow QA, document control, archiving guidelines on all work
- Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project
Qualifications
- The candidate should possess minimum Diploma. Bachelors degree is preferred.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years
