Senior F5 Engineer

Work Location: Bangalore , HYD

• The role is for an IT Network Security specialist who will be working as part of a newly developed service and its associated connectivity infrastructure

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver on premise configuration across F5, DNS, and routing and switching environments
• Implementation of LTM across global Web suite change work will be required outside of core hours
• Configure existing LTM and assist with enabling WAF in F5.
• Troubleshooting and vendor management in case of error in the environment and functionality
• Create supporting design, execution and change management documentation
• Ensure that Service Delivery Targets are met for services.
• Develop automation capabilities to reduce infrastructure complexity and manual effort
• Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders and IT teams
• Planning, design, and implementation in case of maintenance activities

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong hands-on experience with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting F5 LTM SME in LTM
• Experience of implementing new LTM packages.
• Working knowledge of DDI (DNS, DHCP and IPAM), Cisco routing & switching.
• Writing custom irules to assist defence against DDOS attacks.
• Must have participated in developing highly available load balancer designs and architectures in the context of critical infrastructure and service deployment.
• Must have relevant experience working in a large Global Financial organization.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) are a must for organizational
• Rigorous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and able to work to tight deadlines
• Confident rules working both independently and collaboratively across internal, external and hybrid global teams
• Proactive and passionate mindset with an inquisitive nature to understand the customers environment in an approachable manner
• Can propose alternative solutions to a problem whilst working collaboratively with other team members.
• Beneficial experience working with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, CI/CD
• Beneficial experience working with DevOps tools (e.g. GitHub, Jira, Confluence)
• Beneficial to have a good understanding on external Cloud Service Providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
