Position Summary:
- This position entails a unique set of key duties and day-to -day tasks; would involve a relatively high degree of responsibilities for the business and other stakeholders.
- The job holder is expected to have deep understanding of US residential mortgage underwriting function.
- The incumbent ensures the accurate, efficient, and timely flow of information/documentation for offering quality and efficient services.
- Responsible for the daily administration and coordination of training functions and events.
- This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy research, organization, and learning new techniques to better educate trainees.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring strategic alignment of the training department with business goals.
- Evaluating individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
- Searches and examines public and title company records to determine ownership and interests in real property.
- Scrutinizing recorded trust deeds and contracts which may affect property titles.
- Locating tax records, judgments, liens, modification documents mortgages, and bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings.
- Identifying training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments.
- Developing and delivering training solutions that meet business needs.
- Optimizing training processes for efficiency.
- Managing the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training.
- To oversee all activities within a team and driving the team to meet production targets.
- To ensure team meets daily SLA and qualify requirement.
- Work on Internal and External stakeholder reporting.
- Adhere to the communication plan and rigor as agreed with the business.
- Ensure on time logins and schedule adherence.
- Assist new hires such that they are productive on the floor in the shortest possible time frame.
- To coach and provide feedback to team members who are not meeting their targets or meeting the threshold.
- To help team members to resolve queries and provide floor support.
- To identify process gaps and suggest improvement measures.
- Help new Joiners in their nesting phase and be a backup for supervisors in their absence.
- Encourage others on the team to identify barriers to team functioning and suggest remedies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all customer and employee information.
- Respond positively to feedback and redirection.
- Fully utilize systems, tools, training, and resources provided to maximize potential.
- Assist other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-6 years' increasingly responsible experience in underwriting with 2+ years' experience in team management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:.
- Experienced mortgage professional with 5-6 years' experience in underwriting with 2+ years' experience in team management thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
- Has working knowledge of real estate lending criteria and federal, state, and agency compliance.
- Can multi-task and manage time efficiently.
- Has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
