Job Summary

As a SOC Analyst (Security Operations Center Analyst) at Web Neural Infotech, you will be the first line of defense against cybersecurity threats, monitoring the organization s systems and networks for suspicious activities. Your role will involve detecting, analyzing, and responding to incidents in real time to ensure the organization s IT infrastructure remains secure and resilient.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cybersecurity, offering freshers a strong starting point and experienced professionals an opportunity to deepen their expertise in advanced security technologies.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Threat Monitoring : Continuously monitor security systems, including SIEM platforms, for suspicious activities and potential breaches.

Incident Detection : Identify and prioritize security events based on severity and organizational impact.

Response and Escalation : Investigate incidents, implement initial containment measures, and escalate critical issues to senior teams.

Log Analysis : Analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoints, and other devices to identify anomalies.

Threat Hunting : Proactively search for undetected threats and vulnerabilities in the network.

Documentation : Maintain detailed records of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes for compliance and reporting.

Tool Management : Use and optimize SOC tools, including intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection.

Collaboration : Work closely with other cybersecurity teams to implement best practices and refine incident response processes.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Security Tools : Proficiency with SIEM tools (e. g. , Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and monitoring platforms.

Networking Basics : Understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.

Log Analysis : Experience analyzing logs and alerts from various devices to identify security incidents.

Incident Management : Familiarity with incident response methodologies and escalation protocols.

Threat Intelligence : Knowledge of threat hunting and vulnerability management principles.

Communication : Strong verbal and written skills to document incidents and collaborate with teams effectively.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education : Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.

Certifications (Preferred) :

CompTIA Security+ , Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) , or Certified Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+).

Experience :

Freshers with knowledge of SOC tools and cybersecurity concepts are encouraged to apply.
1-3 years of experience in SOC, incident response, or related cybersecurity roles is an advantage.
