Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Penetration Tester , you will:
- Vulnerability Assessment
- Conduct in-depth security assessments of systems, applications, and networks.
- Identify vulnerabilities using manual techniques, automated tools, and custom scripts.
- Penetration Testing
- Simulate real-world cyberattacks to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures.
- Exploit identified vulnerabilities to understand potential impacts and risks.
- Reporting and Recommendations
- Prepare detailed reports on security assessments, including identified vulnerabilities and recommended solutions.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement security improvements.
- Compliance and Standards
- Ensure systems align with security best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards such as OWASP, ISO 27001, or PCI-DSS.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
- Incident Response Support
- Assist in investigating security incidents and providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Strong understanding of security assessment tools and techniques (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Wireshark).
- Familiarity with web application security, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, CSRF).
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Qualification & Experience Required
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), or equivalent are preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience in penetration testing or cybersecurity (freshers with relevant certifications are welcome).
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Java) is a plus.
