Technical Artist is responsible for the visual quality, bringing the team under a consistent and unified direction and utilizing groundbreaking techniques and tools. Working closely with the Software Engineers, Graphic Illustrators, and Animators to define the games visual direction using cutting edge techniques to deliver unprecedented visuals for our product Inspires and motivates the team to deliver their best work and provides effective and constructive feedback to the art team. Be proficient in documentation and communication which is essential in sharing information and articulating the rationale behind the art direction decisions among the development team Ensure the team stays on track with project planning Supports engineering development by updating and modifying artwork to meet technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner Understanding of optimizing assets, both for asset size on disk and in-game performance Verify that game assets meet technical requirements Adaptive to creative changes as needed
What Youll Do
Be meticulous and organized in the approach to the tasks, files, and storage of the material
Advanced knowledge in Spine, Photoshop After Effects
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to problem solve creatively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make and ship art to engineering specifications
Able to give effective critiques and take feedback criticism
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in diverse environment
Ability to adapt, learn quickly and work on a fast paced environment
Basic knowledge of Java Script is a good to have
What Were Looking For
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Art, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 3-4 years of experience in some branch of visual effects (film, game dev, tv, etc).
