Delivery Manager

Role Purpose

The purpose of therole istodefine, build and shape the delivery engine for the practice, ensuring seamless delivery with BUs and capability building across the practice.

Key activities:

1. Delivery Assurance

• Work with the SMU leadership to plan, execute and track key engagements for seamless delivery
• Ensure right team with required competence is put in place as per the plan
• Drive and deployeffectivetechnicalscope management and solutioningacross practice
• Buildstrongpool of Technologists and Architects to bringPracticesTechnology thought leadershipto solution development and implementation
• Engage in deal solutioning for complex programs, help define solutions for customer needsusing Traditional as well asNext GenerationDelivery including Top Coder, Flex based delivery and Near Shore Delivery
• Determine rightsolution choices to ensure Wipro will be able to deliver the right solution with the right outcomes
• Recommend and participate in decidingPractices pricing model for BU/DU engagements to optimizecostof delivery
• Review proposals / deals for effective delivery feasibility and provide solution and revenue(deal size)approvals to sales before sales can book an order
• Implement audit and review mechanisms during project execution to ensure no scope misses / leaks occur
• Ensuredeployment of optimaldeliverysolutions across the practice including continuous delivery governance with the objective of effective risk management, value delivery initiatives, continuous improvement
• Demonstrate thought leadership in practice domain by creating and publishing PoVs, white papers and also leading solution differentiators
• Engage with clients innovation, solution conceptualization, joint initiatives by bringing in the right team

2. Client Relationship Management

• Driveservice portfolioofthepracticeand create strong value propositionfor clients across the value chain
• Conduct regular customer connectsto understand customers currentand future needsand seek feedback to improvedeliverymethodology/ timelines/ resource allocation
• Partner with the clientsto drivedeliverytransformation to adapt to new delivery models and instill new ways of working in customer organization
• Share Wipros capability and initiatives that may support/ fulfill customersneeds

3. Enable revenuegrowthofthepracticewithin an SL

• Identify opportunitiesfor deployment ofnew technology,growth solutions and services across thepracticeby bringing SL practices/other capabilitiesfor client solutioning
• Engage with current customers to identify business opportunitiesby providing relevant solutions in order to increase delivery driven revenue/ organicgrowth
• Support sales team with acquisitionand tractionof new dealsby understanding the customer needs andprovidingsupport in developingsolutions

4. Capability DevelopmentandTalentPipeline Creation

• Demand forecastingin line with business requirements - spearhead quarterlydemandforecastingand resource planningaligned torequirements of thedifferent accounts/ projects
• Focus on exceeding target upskilling initiatives, training compliance in association with talent transformation team
• Enable freshers (NGA ? next generation associate) induction in engagements and make them productive

5. Team Management

• Hire adequate and right resources for the team
• Ensure adequateonboarding andtraining for the team members to enhance capability&effectiveness
• Build an internal talent pool and ensuretheircareer progressionwithin the organization
• Manage team attrition
• Drive diversity in leadership positions
• Set goals for the team, conduct timely performance reviewsand provide constructive feedback to own direct reports
• Ensure that the PerformanceNxtis followed for the entire team
• Lead anddrive engagement initiatives for the team
• Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
