Sr Staff Software Architect

Job Description Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of the test and reliability framework for our state-of-the-art compute platform. This platform is designed to scale seamlessly from on-premise to cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture, testing methodologies, and cloud technologies. They will be responsible for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and reliability of our platform through innovative testing strategies and AI powered test frameworks.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead the architecture and development of the test and reliability framework for the compute platform.
• Design and implement scalable testing solutions that support both on-premise and cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated testing tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure the platforms reliability and performance through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in testing and reliability engineering.
• Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.
• Participate in the enterprise architecture domain governance model.

Education Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 14 years.

Desired Characteristics

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role in a complex, scalable environment.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks such as Cucumber, selenium, Pytest, Testkube, robot framework or any AI based tools for faster code generation.
• Expertise in Cloud native technologies such as docker, kubernetes. Cloud experience with AWS.
• Experience in creating a hybrid platform i.e. a combination of Edge computing and Cloud Computing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.

• Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding peoples roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources and rally teammates.
• Understand how internal and/or external business model works and facilitate active customer engagement.
• Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes.
• Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.
• Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.

Leadership:

• Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization
• Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.
• Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels.
• Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership.
