Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a proactive "sales hunter" by identifying and developing new business opportunities within your territory across targeted industries such as FMCG and Consumer Durables.
- Achieve and exceed direct sales targets and quotas ensuring consistent revenue growth.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, constantly prospecting and engaging with CxOs and senior executives in Sales, Distribution, Finance, Procurement, and IT.
- Establish strong relationships by understanding client needs at all decision-making levels and positioning solutions that meet their challenges.
- Possess a deep understanding of Sales Force Automation and Distributor Management Systems to effectively articulate their value propositions.
- Turn client feedback into actionable strategies to drive business growth and stay ahead of competitive risks.
- Influence client decisions, advocate for their needs, and negotiate win-win solutions with a focus on closing deals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights and adjustments to strategies to optimize results.
- Drive a high-performance sales culture by motivating the team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets through effective leadership, support, and training.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Product Development, Account Management, Inside Sales, Finance) to ensure seamless implementation and client satisfaction.
- Foster an atmosphere of trust and open communication across teams.
- Engage with influencers and subject matter experts to drive sales opportunities and expand market reach.
- Travel as needed for client meetings within the assigned territory, driving sales from prospecting to closing.
- Previous experience of dynamic sales team management and a demonstrated understanding of Channel & Inside sales functions.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12 years sales experience out of which 7-10 years should be in solution sales for sales automation and DMS with a leading software solutions/platform provider.
- Strong sales planning capabilities with the ability to relentlessly pursue new opportunities and close complex sales.
- Proven experience in front-line consulting/sales roles for Sales Automation and/or Distribution Management Systems, interacting with CxOs of leading Indian and global companies in FMCG and Consumer Durables.
- Ability to scale-up sales individually and build sales teams with entrepreneur mindset.
- Experience in negotiating large strategic sales, including all phases from prospecting to ongoing relationship management.
- Graduate/Post-graduate from a reputed institution.
- Sales experience in the IMEA region (India, Middle East & Africa) is essential.
- Demonstrated professional integrity, energy, and a team-player mindset.
- Intellectual agility and an entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to client acquisition and service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced technology start-up environment.
- Quick learning and adaptability to new products and changing business demands.
- Strong executive presence with excellent presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trust with clients, delivering products that add immediate value.
