Spring Boot Developer - Java Enterprise Applications (5-8 yrs)

Job Description : Spring Boot Developer.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Spring Boot Developer with a proven track record in designing and developing RESTful web services and backend applications.

The ideal candidate should have in-depth experience working with Java Enterprise technologies, including Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and web technologies such as JavaScript, REST, Swagger/RAML, XML, and JSON.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement microservices using Java and Spring Boot technologies.

- Ensure high-quality end-to-end delivery of services and features within the specified timeline.

- Manage DevOps activities, including containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.

- Perform software maintenance and continuous improvements as part of Run-the-Bank activities.

- Develop secure applications with expertise in web security standards (e.g, OAuth 2.0, identity management).

- Work with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, or similar.

- Contribute to API development using Swagger/OpenAPI and API Management platforms.

Core Skills & Experience :

- Proficiency in Java Enterprise & Web Technologies (Java 11/17, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs).

- Strong understanding of Web Security (OAuth 2.0, identity management).

- Experience with Containerization Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms.

- Expertise in Messaging Systems (Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ).

- Proficiency in Relational Databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL Databases (MongoDB).

- Solid understanding of SOLID Principles for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

- DevOps Knowledge : Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools.

- Experience in API Design using Swagger tools.

Educational & Additional Requirements :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Avaloq Core and Front Platform customization experience (preferred but not mandatory).

- Experience working in Scrum teams is an asset.

- Fluent in English (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus.

- Strong team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
