Job Description

The DDGS Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and expanding the market for DDGS products, primarily used in the livestock feed industry. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring revenue growth through effective account management and market penetration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve targets in the assigned territory.
    • Identify and develop new markets for DDGS products.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with livestock feed manufacturers, farmers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Provide technical advice and product knowledge to customers to enhance sales effectiveness.
  3. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
    • Identify opportunities for new product development or service enhancements.
  4. Sales and Revenue Management:
    • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients to ensure profitable transactions.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with production, logistics, and customer support teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional activities and campaigns.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market intelligence.
    • Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Animal Science, or a related field.
    • MBA in Sales/Marketing is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the animal feed, agriculture, or agribusiness industry.
    • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of DDGS products and their application in animal nutrition.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
