THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY:
You will be responsible for leading the finance team in Wella India, supporting the leadership team with key business initiatives, financial information and operational analytics, co-piloting with GM, to drive growth and profitability.
You will be responsible for the proper governance/ controls over Marketing expenses/fixed costs are in place, ensure the proper governance/controls over Marketing expenses/fixed costs are in place, drives ROI mindset and delivers transparent reporting of marketing performance and partner with marketing to increase sales and profitability through improved decision making.
You will be responsible for all financial and accounting activities, including strategic planning, distributor transformation analysis and integration, financial due diligence, evaluating and leading short and long-term financial objectives, and any special projects as required.
There is considerable foreign currency exposure so management of FX Risk is also an important component of the role. Additionally, the role holds responsibility for implementing controls and client credit management procedures, along with timely internal audits & guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide financial acumen and strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and help General Managers run their operations as "businesses", generating adequate returns per business plan.
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results & recommending corrective actions
- Responsible for overall cash flow and working capital management, forecasting and reporting
- Seek new growth prospects for the business unit
- Manage country cluster/division P&L and Balance sheet, Profitability analysis of existing portfolio by category and customer.
- Lead the Regional budgeting and forecasting process including goal setting, monthly variance analysis and peer group metrics for the region. Provide measurement against goals for a timely valuation of performance.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the regional finance team, as well as develop
- Track local commercial budget and non-commercial budget
- Drive commercial spending ROI, Understand brand goals and strategies as well as company's financial policies and provide analyses to help marketing and sales achieve goals
- Coordinate with local marketing team to review marketing business plan: Provide financial analysis of proposed new items, programs, and licenses for go/no-go decisions support, Drive local analysis at brand level (e.g., P&L by brand, market share) , Coordinate with local marketing to build local launch model
- Ensure proper allocation of spending across brands and cost buckets
- Identify brand profitability drivers / Provide brand and channel analysis as required by management.

- Understanding of India market laws, taxation, regulations & guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post graduate qualifications : MBA or equivalent (OR) Qualifications at degree level in Finance/Accounting, CA/CPA qualifications
