Job Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Linux System Engineer to design, implement, and support Linux-based systems and infrastructure. The role will focus on managing physical, virtualized, and cloud environments, ensuring system performance, security, and automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Linux Administration : Manage Linux distributions (Red Hat, Oracle Linux) across physical and virtual environments.

- Virtualization : Administer VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX technologies.

- System Security : Implement Linux security best practices, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption; collaborate with IT security teams.

- Automation : Automate system administration using Bash/Python; utilize tools like Puppet.

- Performance Monitoring : Troubleshoot system performance issues, ensure high availability.

- Cloud Infrastructure : Manage systems on IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud platforms.

- Compliance & Incident Management : Support compliance tasks (e. , PCI) and provide third-level escalation for system issues.

- Collaboration : Work with teams to improve engineering and operational standards.

Required Skills :

- 10-12 years of experience in Linux system administration.

- Strong expertise in Red Hat/Oracle Linux, VMware, and system security.

- Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) and automation (e., Puppet).

- Experience with cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, log management, and performance monitoring tools.

- Experience supporting e-commerce, manufacturing, or critical business applications.

Preferred :

- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of ITIL, ISO, or COBIT frameworks.
