Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Manager to oversee all HR operations in our India location (Pune). Reporting to the VP, Head of HR (based in the US), the ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner to local leaders, ensuring alignment with the company s global HR strategy while addressing region-specific needs. This role manages two key teams (HR Operations and Talent Acquisition) and is responsible for compliance, payroll, benefits, CSR initiatives, drive employee engagement, own internal communication, support employees with effective grievance handling while fostering a positive employee experience and engagement culture and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with local business leaders to understand strategic objectives and provide HR guidance and solutions.
Act as a key member of the India leadership team, contributing to business strategy and operational excellence.
Ensure alignment of HR practices with global HR policies while customizing them to address regional needs.
Lead and manage the HR Operations and Talent Acquisition teams to deliver exceptional HR services.
Coach and develop team members to achieve professional growth and ensure high performance.
Work closely with our finance department and compliance advisers, providing meaningful and knowledgeable insights to ensure compliance with all local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop and execute hiring strategies to attract top talent.
Lead initiatives for events, hiring conferences, fresher drives and campus recruitment in alignment with workforce planning needs.
Design and implement programs to enhance employee experience, engagement, and retention.
Act as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing concerns and providing career development guidance.
Act as a point of escalation for employee concerns, addressing grievances promptly and effectively while maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
Build frameworks to support proactive conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment.
CSR Initiatives - Lead corporate social responsibility initiatives to strengthen the companys impact in the local community.
Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring effective delivery of HR services.
Monitor HR metrics to identify trends, assess the impact of HR initiatives, and make data-driven decisions.
Provide coaching and support to team members, enabling professional growth and fostering a collaborative environment.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.
8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance, and payroll processes.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a global organization with cross-functional teams is a plus.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Eagerness to learn and develop, as well as grow and develop the team.
