We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist with audits and tax-related inquiries.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and analyze expenses, ensuring they are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Process expense reports and reimbursements.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Communication: Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as needed. Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial colleagues.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
