GMST Flow chemistry lab manager is a professional position in API manufacturing processes, Technology design. Focusing on process and product life cycle to insure robust and competitive products, enhance operational technology excellence.
Bringing new technologies and innovative solutions to upgrade our process operation.
This role will be working in a cross functional matrix organization to support TAPI business objectives.
How you ll spend your day
Lead the GMST Flow chemistry laboratory and team of researchers.
Manage several projects in parallel of shifting process from batch operation to Flow.
Support new technology introduction, innovation and modernization- identify needs in the network, support evaluation and promote relevant solutions to support business needs.
Lead a comprehensive evaluation of new technologies, mainly in the field of Flow chemistry, be familiar with newest publications, relevant conventions, Seminars, Work in close collaboration with production sites and global functions (RD, MST, RA/QA).
Professional and technical guidance and support- knowledge sharing, provide professional support in process improvements, Scale up, Innovative technological solutions and technology transfers.
Establish and manage AOP based on TAPIs needs and prioritization, follow on execution, support professionally, facilitate decision making through supportive routines and close collaboration with different interphases in the network.
Lead and drive different initiatives to bring cost reduction and efficiencies.
Travel to support implementation in TAPIs sites around the globe.
Any other initiative that might be addressed to GMST.
Your experience and qualifications
PhD in Organic chemistry with vast knowledge and experience in process engineering aspects related to scale up, manufacturing and technology.
Alternatively, M.Sc degree in chemical engineering with vast knowledge and understanding in Organic chemistry and Process chemistry.
10+ years with proven history in chemical and pharmaceutical industry: for process development and/or improvements, Scale up of chemical processes, engineering process design and troubleshooting.
3+ years of experience in Flow Chemistry and continuous manufacturing.
5+ years of experience as a team manager.
Understanding of chemical process equipment design and scale up in manufacturing environment.
Familiarization with innovative technological solutions including PAT.
Familiarization with computational tools for process simulation and statistical evaluation, including DOE.
Previous experience in project management and cross functional working processes.
