Experience in achieving targets through channel partners; monitor all the dealers / distributors; build & support dealers / distributors' network; ensure new business opportunities; achieve volumes & targeted market share; report on dealer performance, sales forecast.
1. Overall Sales Targets: Set and achieve sales targets for the entire region, taking into
consideration the cumulative targets of individual areas under your supervision.
2. Area Sales Manager Performance: Monitor and support Area Sales Managers in achieving
their respective targets. Provide guidance, training, and assistance when needed.
3. Market Analysis and Strategy: Analyse market trends, customer preferences, and
competitor activities across the region. Develop and adjust sales strategies accordingly to
maximize market share.
4. Team Management: Oversee a team of Area Sales Managers, providing leadership,
coaching, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and motivated team
environment.
5. Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for expanding the company's market presence
within the region. Determine potential new markets or areas for growth.
6. Dealer Network Growth: Work on expanding and optimizing the dealer network within the region. Evaluate potential dealers, negotiate agreements, and ensure consistent dealer
performance.
7. Budget Allocation and Control: Manage the budget allocated for the region, including
expenses related to marketing, promotions, events, and team development.
8. Sales Reporting: Collect and analyse sales data from different areas to create
comprehensive reports on regional sales performance. Present these reports to senior
management.
9. Customer Relationship Management: Oversee customer relationship management
initiatives in the region, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
10. Product Launches and Promotions: Coordinate and execute product launches, promotional
campaigns, and marketing initiatives across the region.
11. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure
optimal inventory levels and timely product delivery to dealerships.
12. Training and Development: Identify training needs for the sales team and implement
programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. This could include product training, sales
techniques, and customer service training.
13. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as marketing,
product development, and customer service to ensure a seamless customer experience and
alignment of strategies.
14. Performance Analysis: Conduct regular performance reviews of Area Sales Managers and their teams. Provide constructive feedback and develop improvement plans when
necessary.
15. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and
industry standards within the region.
16. Market Feedback: Act as the voice of the market by providing feedback and insights to the company's higher management for continuous improvement.
17. Forecasting and Planning: Provide accurate sales forecasts for the region to guide
production and supply chain planning.
