Import Executive

Role & responsibilities

Import Process Management

• Ensure timely and cost-effective import of raw materials, machinery, and other goods.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to streamline the import process.
• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery to avoid production delays.

2. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to all import-related regulations, including customs clearance, duties, and taxes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including invoices, bill of lading, certificates of origin, and import permits.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to resolve compliance issues and avoid penalties.

3. Cost Optimization & Vendor Management

• Negotiate with suppliers and logistics partners for cost-effective import solutions.
• Monitor import costs, including freight, duties, and handling charges, to optimize expenses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with global suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.

4. Coordination with Internal Departments

• Work closely with the procurement, production, and finance teams to align import schedules with operational needs.
• Provide updates on shipment status and expected arrival timelines to avoid inventory shortages.

Assist in forecasting and demand planning for imported materials

Preferred candidate profile

Manufacturing industry preferred with SAP knowledge
