A production planner or production control planner's responsibilities include:

• Planning and scheduling- Create and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity
• Coordinating- Coordinate with procurement, packing, and logistics to ensure the timely availability of materials and the dispatch of products
• Monitoring- Monitor production processes and inventory levels, and collect output information
• Analyzing- Analyze production data to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies
• Communicating- Communicate with sales, customer service, and management to provide updates on production status and delivery schedules
• Reporting- Create status and performance reports
• Collaborating- Collaborate with the production team, quality control, and warehouse to optimize resource use and resolve issues
